OdataLink models include a new developer mode that can be turned on while developing your Power BI or Excel reports and dashboards.
This new feature greatly increases the speed at which you can build reports and dashboard.
How does the developer mode work?
In this mode, OdataLink does not refresh data from your accounting product unless it is more than 8 hours old. Instead, it will return the previously cached information.
We chose a threshold of 8 hours to ensure one refresh takes place each day. As such, you will still be able to see updated information. But this will allow you to develop your integration quicker without the need to wait on MYOB for every little change when using Power BI, Power Query or Microsoft Excel.
How to turn it on?
You turn on developer mode by setting the Archive type of the model to Developer.
How to turn it off ?
You can turn off the developer mode by setting the Archive Type of the model to Live.
When live, OdataLink will operate normally and will always retrieve the latest data from your accounting product.
