The first update of 2022 brings a lot of additional endpoints for both Xero and MYOB.
The year is almost over but we managed to squeeze in one final update before the new year. This latest update packs a lot of enhancements.
The main theme for this update was to streamline and simplify the security features of OdataLink while keeping them front and center.
We also added a few additional endpoints for Xero.
For October 2021, we prioritised some major enhancements.
As the demand for OdataLink continued to grow in leaps and bounds, we decided it was time to have a look back at different systems in place to ensure they would scale.
- Consolidation OData Feeds
- Enhanced Logs
- Enhanced Preview of Data within Power BI and Excel
The September 2021 update of OdataLink was released on 30/09/2021. It includes three vital enhancements.
- The documentation of all endpoints.
- The addition of Settings Endpoints.
- The support for Proxy Servers.
We are pleased to announce that OdataLink is now officially Certified by Xero. It is now available on the Xero App Store for Australia, New Zealand and the world.
+
Getting listed on the Xero App Store is the official mechanism by which Xero audits third party addins. This involves Xero staff formally checking function calls made to the Xero API to ensure they follow and adhere to their standard.
This is a big tick confirming OdataLink’s architecture and credentials.
If you are an existing user of OdataLink, we would really appreciate you leave a review and tell others what you think.
The July 2021 update of OdataLink took longer than expected but is finally here.
Here is the list of what’s new in OdataLink for July 2021.
For Xero data files
- A new model for Xero Payroll (Australia)
- Additional endpoints for Xero Projects
For MYOB data files
- Additional endpoints for MYOB
- Additional configuration settings for MYOB
For everyone
- A new Static Archive Type
We entered OdataLink under the Technology Platform Solution of the Year category for 2021. You can see out entry video here.
Last night, 30th of June 2021, our efforts were recognised by receiving a Merit Award (close second) in the Technology Platform of the Year category. (A merit award is issued when it is difficult to decide the winner between the top two participants.)

We would like to congratulate the winner for the category, HCL Technology – DWS iApply for the Government of South Australia, which provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) that the South Australian government implemented to provide a digital forms platform across South Australia.
For Accounting Addons, a small team with modest resources, receiving a merit award is a great accomplishment.
We would like to thank all our customers, early adopters, our staff, as well as the people at both MYOB and Xero for their support.
A big thank you from Jeff Stephenson
To Nicolas Emmerich for trusting my vision, his enthusiasm and his amazing development work to figure out how to make this thing fly.
To Simonne Salathé for guidance and management of administration.
To Alice Hilhorst from Orange Fridge for the design, look and feel and logos.
To Tara Stephenson for providing space for me to focus
And all our 270 early adopters who have supported us in the last 6 months.

Entrants are judged by a panel of some 60 judges.
May has been a very busy period for us. The updates focused more on cosmetic, usability and discoverability enhancements.
