I can’t quite believe 6 months have passed since our last “What’s New” post. It’s actually been so long, I don’t remember all the changes made, but there have been many.
These changes can be grouped into 3 broad categories. These categories will also set the tone for much of the coming calendar year.
We have been EXTREMELY busy lately with all kinds of enhancements. It’s been months since we’ve had time to post what is new in OdataLink. While there is too many enhancements to include in a single post, we’ll cover the main ones.
Many of the changes are not visible and only impact how OdataLink works under the hood. They would only get very technical people excited. That being said, if you are one of those individual, read on.
June is shaping up to be a very exciting month for OdataLink and Xero users.
As part of our continuous development and refinement process, we reworked our Models architecture, added many new endpoints for Xero Accounting models and added the brand new Xero Projects model.
These changes add an additional 12 endpoints and brings the total number of endpoints available for Xero organisations to 46.
I am pleased to announce that OdataLink will soon be available for Xero.
(Update: Xero is now available.)
OdataLink models include a new developer mode that can be turned on while developing your Power BI or Excel reports and dashboards.
This new feature greatly increases the speed at which you can build reports and dashboard.
OdataLink now includes a new logging mechanism. Every data request received by OdataLink is added to the odata feed log.
As a result, this will greatly assist in identifying any issues with OdataLink.
