The September 2021 update of OdataLink was released on 30/09/2021. It includes three vital enhancements.
- The documentation of all endpoints.
- The addition of Settings Endpoints.
- The support for Proxy Servers.
Endpoints Fully Documented
We’ve made a long overdue enhancement to our documentation.
Our help.odatalink.com website now includes complete documentation on all 162 endpoints (at time of writing) present within OdataLink:
In addition, it includes updates for the Settings Endpoints.
Settings Endpoints
The most exciting feature added this month is the addition of the Settings Endpoints.
With this new functionality, you can download settings presents within OdataLink.
This includes:
- The settings for the model
- The list of data files assigned to the model
Not only does this allow you to audit how OdataLink is configured, it also provides a simpler way to consolidate data in Excel and Power BI.
Shortly, we will be making tutorials available to showcase how to consolidate data using the Settings Endpoints.
Firewall Support for Proxy Servers
Lastly, the OdataLink firewall now supports Proxy Servers.
Prior to this update, the OdataLink firewall could secure your data if you connected directly without Proxy Servers.
Unfortunately, those using Proxy Servers needed to disable the firewall.
With this latest update, the firewall can remain turned on. This make securing access to your data more robust for those that do use Proxy Servers.
The firewall now accepts a comma separated list of IP Addresses, representing the “IP Address Proxy Path” in use.
